Key Observations from MMD Survey 2012
Background:
- Anonymous survey, 151 respondents (64% of families assuming one respondent per family)
- Survey offered on site at Diwali program and also as online survey for one week
from Diwali function on Nov 5, 2011 to Nov 13th 2011.
Key Observations:
- Large influx of younger, newer membership.
- 15% above 60 years,
- 31% between 25-40 years and
- 45% between 40-60 years.
- 46% are members for less than 5 years
- Members have high level of income
- 57% have family income above $100,000
- We need to tap new membership from Farmington Hills, Novi and Livonia (only 24%)
- 51% membership is from Troy/Bloomfield Hills
- Equal demand for programs from India, Rasika, local drama and outdoor activities;
- On scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most desirable, following is the recap of member
feedback.
- Average rating variation from 3.10-3.44 Sports, local musical programs and youth
programs were between 2.93-2.95 Social interaction and quality of programs were
top two reasons to attend MMD But location of venue is as much important as quality
and quantity of food.
- Top three comments on improvements required in MMD:
- Interaction with new members
- Youth activities
- Personal touch with President and committee
